eDead Sound Deadening

Added some eDead sound deadening materal to the doors just inside where the woofer is. eDead is the same product as Dynomat but for less than 1/2 the cost. It really tightend up the outer metal door panel. You can see the eDead which is silver strips through the speaker opening.

Also added some material in the trunk and trunk lid for when the sub enclosure is installed.

OEM Appearance Package

I really wanted the OEM Appearance Package when I was searching for a RX-8. I simply could not pass up the car I found even though it was missing that one criteria. So instead I decided to order it from Mazda. I changed one thing though and that is instead of rear aero flares I went with rear splash guards. They are essentially the same thing except the guards protect a bit more as they extend downward and not towards the back like the flare. Also a big price difference.

The install is fairly straightforward. Removal of the front bumper is required to put on the bottom lip piece as it is a complete replacement part. Great help from my friend Oleg who also owns a RX-8 and we had already did the same complete install on his car so we knew what to expect.

X-treme Auto Show 2007

I believe this was my first show with the RX-8. Only minor mods were completed, and yet I took home a 3rd place trophy in the Mazda class.
