Winter driving fun

Finally a bit of snow to test out my new winter wheels. So I headed down to the local beach parking lot and let loose. Turned off the DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) and enjoyed the less than 2 inches of fresh snow on the ground.

Racing Beat Exhaust

The Racing Beat exhaust for the RX-8 is made of high quality stainless steel and polished to a mirror finish. The welding and construction is top grade.

This install is very easy, though would have taken less time with the assistance of another person due to the weight of this piece and trying to align everything just right. All that is needed to install is the removal of 2 bolts, sliding off exhaust hangers, and removing rear exhaust shrounds from the car.

After the install it was time to fire the car up. The rotary engine really comes alive with this exhaust. It's quiet enough that there is no "booming" effect, but rather a low burble at slow speeds up to 4k RPM. After that the exhaust roars into action all the way up to the 9k redline.
