First Place win at Summer Send Off 5

Another scorching hot and humid day in Rockland, MA for the annual Summer Send Off car show. Out of a total 6 Mazdas I took the fist place trophy. Woot! Big thanks to my friend Gary and Melissa for entering with me, and of course my wife Mary for all of her "support". ;)

Orange County Choppers / Mid-Summer Showdown

It was a 2 day auto show event at Orange County Choppers. Although not a huge show, many of us Mazda folk got to gether and had one hell of a good time. In the end I took home a First Place trophy for best Mazda coupe.

Making the Engine Bay shine!

I've always thought about taking out the engine bay padding. It's purpose is to keep the engine sound level down and help with cold climates. I rarely drive in the winter time and I love the sound of the rotary. Finaly with a little push from my friend Marc I set forth and tore out the padding. There's simply no easy way to remove it without damaging the material unless you spend days taking the engine bay apart.

The results are better than I expected. The red really makes everything else pop and simply look cleaner. Of course I then had to clean the entire engine bay again after all the dust and fibers floated all over. It was due for another cleaning anyway.
