On a February 2007 morning I was browsing the Net as usual and for the heck of it I decided to check my local Ford dealers listings. Sure enough, there it was. The RX-8 I've been looking for. Only problem was that they had just posted it and no pics or real info was online. The title stated 6speed, but in the description it read automatic. So I called and they said they just got the car as a local trade 3 days ago and they wanted to call me back with the info. As I waited, I scoped the Mazda website with the VIN to get the details myself...hehe. One minute later BRINGGG....it's them. I started out first with the details and they confirmed. The girl on the phone said to me, "OMG that car is so hot! If I did not have a one year old I'd buy the car myself." I could tell she was serious too.
So of course being that the dealer is only a few miles from my house I was going to check it out. I get there and the car is in the service area with the exterior already prepped. She was glistening! I could not believe my eyes...and I've looked at quite a few pre-owned RX-8s by now. Opened the car and the interior had not been cleaned but was still in immaculate shape. On to the engine bay and perfection! A real beauty indeed and very loved. So she started right up and it was time for a drive. My daughter, wife, and I took the trip ourselves. Oh what a drive. Took her up to speed on a few curvy roads I'm very familiar with. Wow...I knew it was right for me. Got back and did the deal, which was very decent. More to come.....
